After high school I...
Ray and I lived together and built a 64 ft ketch-rigged sailboat on the Duwamish River in a run down boat shed, complete with tattered roof to see the stars at night- (you know, Baltic Ave. on the Monopoly board..) near the West Seattle Bridge. Married when we launched the boat in '82. Moved to Maui, HI (husband in aviation), still plowing $$ into finishing the boat. Tried for a baby first week in Dec. 83, then changed our minds. Oops, was pregnant with John! Moved back to Seattle for a year, then Ray accepted a contract overseas in Singapore. Lived there for 8 yrs, our daughter Sarah born there in '86. Moved back 92, to Kent, WA for 3 yrs, with a temporary re-location to Caronado Isl. while Ray worked in Tiajuana, MX. Moved in 1985 to Ten Mile, TN on Watts Bar Lake.

Major accomplishments/events since high school
Ray and I built our sailboat and 3 homes, furniture including our beds. Took off 11 months in 1996 to sail 11,000 miles from Seattle to Mobile, AL, via Panama Canal. De-masted (main mast would not clear bridges) and the "boys", Papa Bradford and Manfred, brought the boat up the Tombigbee-TN. River Waterway to our home, where "Endymion" is now moored. Had great experiences traveling overseas, traveled throughout SE Asia, New Zealand and Australia. Best experience, was a trip to Golden Triangle-some by long boat, and- yes, drug free.. John and Sarah are by far our greatest accomplishments, nothing has given us more joy or pride than the two best presents given us! John has just re-enlisted with the Navy, married- with 1 daughter, our grandbaby Chelsea.
Sarah will be graduating from Vanderbilt Univ. in May and off to flight school in Pensacola. (Naval Scholarship)

Other comments
Wish I accessed this website same time last year to make the reunion.. Also, wish I hadn't lost my yearbook in one of our moves-most names I cannot bring a face to. Love to hear from Leslie Cook, stayed in touch with her until we moved overseas. Great to read Susan Backstrom's profile. Thank you for our childhood friendship and still can plick "my country tis of thee" from basement piano teachings. Read Garren Mobley's profile, I believe you were the guy that looked like Clark Kent with your glasses off. Hope you got rid of those frames.. and aftering reading your profile, still a Superman character for honorably serving our country. My family and I thank you.
